Trout Gallery Museum Ambassadors provide a conduit between museum exhibitions and programs and the larger Dickinson and Carlisle Community. Ambassadors blog, photograph, video, talk about and otherwise communicate Trout Gallery happenings via social media and networking platforms. They also assist with Education programs and events. Ambassadors commit to one hour of “Trout engagement” time per week as well as bi-monthly meetings (Thursdays 12-1:15PM) to learn about events and new exhibitions at The Gallery. Engagement time may include participating in programs, teaching kids, attending tours, or recording behind-the scenes happenings. Ambassadors receive Trout Fan benefits as well as docent training, and a budget to plan student-centered Gallery events. Experience as a Museum Ambassador provides excellent background experience for paid and internship positions at The Trout Gallery. 1-2 hours per week. Requires a one-semester commitment. [Maximum 25]
The Trout Gallery/ Museum Ambassador Application Instructions: All application emails for Fall 2017 should be received by Sept. 8, 2017. The first Ambassador meeting is at noon on Sept. 14, 2017.
