Helen Hsu, Associate Curator, The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation

Helen Hsu has conducted extensive research on the Currents series, including a comprehensive investigation of the media sources Rauschenberg used when creating the works.  Her analysis reveals the complex and powerful ways that Rauschenberg delivers a critique of news media by using its most persuasive visual strategies.

This lecture is presented in conjunction with The Trout Gallery exhibition, Robert Rauschenberg: Surface Series, from Currents.  The Gallery will be open from 5-7PM for guests who wish to view this exhibition before the lecture.
