About the Event

Join us as we explore, Branch: Trees in American Art, at The Trout Gallery, Dickinson College's art museum. Participants will learn strategies for engaging students in looking closely at works of art and the natural world, and take part in a hands-on art-making activity that incorporates scientific concepts.

Educators will also be introduced to the new K-12 Educator's Resource Guide, Branching Out: Trees and American Culture, featuring grade-level lessons that connect tree science with works of American art. Each participant will receive a complimentary printed copy of the guide, along with practical ideas for interdisciplinary and STEAM-based teaching.

A FREE lunch is included.

Art, science, and classroom teachers are all encouraged to attend.

Parking is free on High Street in front of the building and there are Visitor parking spaces in the lot next to the gallery accessible through Church Street, the alley that runs behind the gallery.
