The Trout Gallery Education Program serves K-12, college, and community audiences through a range of regular programs and events. Programs are developed and delivered by a museum staff composed of full-time educators and college interns trained in object-based teaching and learning. Through local partnerships, The Trout Gallery also offers after-school and summer camp programs at sites in the community.

The Trout Gallery provides lively, cross-disciplinary museum programs to PreK-high school classes and homeschoolers. The programs encourage creativity and learning through meaningful encounters with art and cultural artifacts, and through participation in age-specific group activities and hands-on projects. Class size limited to 28 students. All programs are offered free of charge.
College Students
Students from every discipline at Dickinson can take advantage of cultural life at The Trout by attending an art opening, joining our spring student Gala, studying in The Gallery during finals or attending special museum events. Become a Trout Fan to receive updates on what’s happening at The Trout each semester. For those interested in deeper engagement, The Trout Gallery offers both paid and volunteer opportunities.
Faculty
The Trout Gallery is a teaching museum dedicated to supporting students' educational experiences at Dickinson College. In addition to exhibitions on view, we have over 12,000 objects in our permanent collection that can be brought out of storage for a single class visit or placed on view in our Curricular Gallery for students to study independently. We schedule visits and manage object requests for all audiences on a first-come, first-served basis. Making reservations before the start of the semester is highly recommended.
Summer Camps
Bring your day camp, club, or organization for a 90 minute workshop during select summer weeks. All workshops include a hands on activity. Individual workshops are offered free of charge. The Trout Gallery also partners with Carlisle Arts Learning Center (CALC) to offer week-long programs. Reservations are required.
